  • Comments Thread For: Lara Replaces Huck As 6/13 PBC on Spike TV Headliner

There has been a shake-up in the proposed lineup for the June 12 edition of Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions series, which airs live on Spike TV from Chicago, IL. The show will now be headlined by top-rated junior middleweight Erislandy Lara against an opponent to be determined.

The show will also feature Artur Szpilka, a local heavyweight slugger who thrilled the Chicago crowd with his two-round destruction of Ty Cobb this past Friday at the UIC Pavilion. His bout came moments after the cameras stopped rolling following the live tripleheader topped by Badou Jack’s upset win over Anthony Dirrell. [Click Here To Read More]

Ahhh damn, well I guess an Usyk fight is still alive. Then again, Usyk doesn't have an exclusive deal with HBO

You should ask Al to provide free dinner also.

I'm a fan of Lara but I see the whole point of the PBC to try and capture the casual fan. I can't think of a way to turn off the casual fan faster than by having Lara in a main event fight. They're not going to appreciate his style at all.
