I don't give a flying **** who sings the national anthem lol

I'm paying to see a fight, not a singing contest.

Pacquiao can sing the anthem for all I care.

Would rather R. Kelly do that rendition he did at Taylor/Hopkins.

Why does the US anthem always have to be performed as if the performer is suffering multiple nervous breakdowns - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flEns6Nf3_E#t=15m25s

People with low IQs think singing out of key and making gargling noises is "talented and flashy"

I don't care about the american anthem but you're right. The song is about American rebels lasting through the night against a superior force, fighting for their freedom and independence.

It's like they don't even know what they're singing about. I could do a better job.

              It's slick and soulful apparently.

Their IQ level doesn't bother me, but I do find it strange that it's treated as an opportunity to show off their vocal range.

If the intent is to deliver a passionate performance it really has the opposite effect. It's over the top to the extent that the sheer weirdness of it just makes you laugh.

Just sing the song with a little dignity. It's not that hard.
