Comments Thread For: Mayweather Looks Phenomenal, Says Sparring Partner

AT least one Bolton boxer has made it into the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Amir Khan has been dreaming of sharing a ring with the American superstar for years.

But annoyingly for Khan he has been beaten to the punch by fellow Lancashire lad Jack Catterall.

Catterall has got his piece of boxing's biggest ever bout after being plucked from obscurity to be a shock sparring partner for Mayweather ahead of his £250m mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao this Saturday.

The 21-year-old hails from Chorley - just down the road from Khan.

And the 11-0 light-welterweight has been living in a dream world in Mayweather's Las Vegas gym.

21 year old light WW? I'm sure just being in the Mayweather gym feels like he won the lottery or something.

I was watching chicken Floyd during one of his work outs in front of the media. He looks phenomenally very very slow hitting the bag. If he will face the Pacman the way we saw him...he will be very lucky to be alive even in the early rounds against the great Manny Pacquiao.

I wouldn't be surprised. Floyd looked like crap in his last two fights with Maidana.
