Comments Thread For: Jennings: I Felt Like I Won, I Felt Klitschko Fading

Klitschko basically toyed with and carried Jennings to the end, obviously, because they are friends.
It's the only reason Wladimir gave him the shot in the first place, to give him a pay day and a bit of credibility.
Still he was belted around badly enough that he obviously doesn't know what day of the week it is anymore by the sounds of it.
Losing every round constitutes a near victory does it.
Unbelievable!
This is disrespect of the highest level.

Jennings won a couple of rounds, which is actually a couple more than I predicted he'd win. Actually the fact he went the distance is damn impressive for me.
I can understand where he's coming from, in that he never really got hurt too much. I'm sure as a competitor he felt he could keep going - that's the athlete's mentality - but his best chance came in the middle of the fight. Nothing before the 5th round, or after the 8th round gave me any pause to think he stood a chance.
(although truth be told, round 7 I started thinking at 14:1 odds I should have laid some money down)

Jennings showed the world he wasn't just taking a paycheck and he won more rounds on my card than Haye or Peter did. But Klitschko won. And he did look faded and just old to me. I was happy that By-By did so well but a little bit disappointed that Wlad couldn't pull that trigger on the left hook. He couldn't pull it much on his right hand either. But Jennings was good about not letting him walk him into it. Interesting fight but I think it's showing Wlad's age.
