He's the most well known fighter but is not well liked. Even his fans are starting to turn on him - including me.

I think he's trying to snag us on a technicality 'cause there's certainly not a causal relationship here. I mean technically Froch's win over Tony Dobson moved him a step closer to fighting Kessler but I don't think history will remember any real direct relationship.

Maybe Uncle Al just can't bring himself to tell Amir that he doesn't have enough faith in him to throw him in there with Brook or Thurman so he's told him these warm up fights will lead to "something big - nudge, nudge, wink, wink."

Joking aside in terms of what Hunter is doing overseeing Amir's re-development this isn't too bad a fight. It's not a great one either but I think Virgil will want one or two more fights before he leads him in against a dangerous puncher.

This was always going to be taken slowly. It's a difficult task to strip away and relearn ingrained technique. His team will want to see signs that he doesn't revert to his old mistakes when he's put under pressure before really testing him. After all if Khan losses to anyone not named Mayweather or Pacquiao at this point he might not be able to haul himself back.

Mayweather, 38, has said it is one of two fights before he hangs up his gloves ***8211; he is expected to box again in September as he aims to match the unbeaten 49-0 record of Rocky Marciano.

Khan faces American Chris Algieri in New York on May 29 and cannot fight in September because he observes the ****** holy month of Ramadan.

But Khan, 28, has not given up hope of facing five-weight world champion Mayweather and if he misses out he is confident of fighting his former sparring partner Pacquiao in November or December.

I'm no Pac fan, but Pac destroy this dude inside of 4. Mayweather is not going to fight him, simply because Mayweather picks his dates, not Ramadan.

And will never get Mayweather fight. I doubt a Pacquiao fight either.

Lookin forward to Khan getting Knocked out again, that's all Khan is getting closer too, getting Knocked again, as soon as he has to fight a LEGIT power punching Welterweight like Thurman.

His popularity here is a myth, or maybe just mis-judged by people in other countries.

When Floyd considered fighting him before Maidana, i think they thought he had a big UK fanbase who would travel over and buy PPV in the UK. I'm sure some would but i think they thought it would be another Hatton style thing, but realised it's not the case at all.

He is famous but not that well liked. Even in his hometown of Bolton he doesn't have that kind of adulation and loyal fans like Hatton did with the Manchester crowd or Froch does with his Nottingham crowd. I'd dare say Kell Brook would take more to a fight in Vegas against Floyd with his sheffield fanbase than Khan ever could.

His star has faded in the UK. Everyone knows his name, nobody is really interested in him. If he fought Brook, i'd say more people would support Kell Brook.

Prescott was a nobody, still a nobody.
Garcia was a nobody, well still a nobody really, unofficially defeated twice

Now that's a very good point made right there, very rationale and logical.
