True. He knows damn well the major networks would have scooped a Froch fight up in a minute but since he wants to pick Callum Smith's less skilled brother he gets BET.

I do think he could have made as much with Froch or close to it fighting Chavez jr if he didn't get to decide the venue (meaning if it was in the U.K.)

I don't think Froch wants to fight unless it's a massive payday from everything he's said, so it's a name other guys can throw out and sound tough about because they know a fight with him is unlikely.

Ward Finds Opponent Whose Last Two Wins Were A Combined 17-55-4

In the middle of his search for Carl Froch somewhere near Oakland CA, SMW champ Andre Ward, who hasn't been seen without a microphone in front of him near a boxing match in two years, found a fighter whose last two wins had a combined 17-55-4 record. Ward, whose previous opponent was a boxing manager he managed to outlast in a life or death contract struggle, surprised even himself when he managed to land a fight with Paul Smith, who has finagled two wins against Jamie Ambler, one of those wins being Smith's next to last in December 2013. On the wings of that win and one against 7-3-2 David Sarabia in Sept 2014, Smith increased his odds of getting a big fight by losing twice to a fighter Ward beat years ago who was in decline even then. Ambler's next opponent, Andy White, makes his boxing debut against the popular loser from Aberystwyth, Wales while Smith gets to fight Andre Ward, leading to the conclusion that it is no small wonder pick and choose carefully is the way pound for pound fighters find their opponents. One loss and their per cent comes out of a fight for a couple hundred pounds.

Ward (27-0, 14KOs) is now scheduled to face another Brit, two time title challenger Paul Smith (35-5, 20KOs) on June 20th at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. BET will televise the contest as part of their new boxing series with Roc Nation Sports, who earlier this year signed Ward to a promotional contract.

The closer I look, the more embarrassing this match-up becomes.

I think Froch's plan is a DeGale fight at another soccer stadium if he manages to lift the strap from Andre Dirrell. I personally don't see that happening. Instead I see Dirrell winning and unifying with Jack.

I think Ward's plan at 168 is two tune-ups, Froch rematch, and Golovkin. That would be nice.

Whatever Andre. You didn't get Froch, and you got Smith now.

So you think Ward is only fighting Smith because Froch ducked him?
