NEW YORK – Showtime Networks Inc. and parent company CBS Corporation have scheduled a broad range of programming and promotion across the Company’s diverse portfolio of media platforms in anticipation of the showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, May 2.

SHOWTIME Sports® is anchoring the charge with 13˝ hours of first-run shoulder programming, including its acclaimed documentary series INSIDE MAYWEATHER vs. PACQUIAO, classic fights and a comprehensive offering of digital assets.

In addition, the CBS Television Network will run promotional spots in primetime and late-night programming throughout fight week. This will be supplemented with marketing support and editorial coverage from CBS Sports Digital, significant coverage across CBS Sports Radio and a dozen CBS Radio stations throughout the country, and a robust schedule of shoulder programming and marketing support on CBS Sports Network. Talk about the under card for this fight...there's nothing good except Lomachenko on there.

One network is putting their money where their mouth is, committing time and effort to showcasing the spectacle that is their side of the fight.

The other network seems to be doing the bare contractual minimum in holding their side of the bargain.

Welcome to the new world order, where one basket of networks expand their commitment to this great sport, while the other network bleeds it dry of what little they see left in the sport.

Arum is toxic on every outlet beyond the TimeWarner basket of channels (HBO, CNN, TBS/TNT/TruTV) and Univision.

If Arum was running the promotion, you'd see some Tecate-linked commercials on Univision, and Arum's miserly add would stuff every marketing dollar back into his own pocket, sweet talk Jerry Jones into giving him $50m to host the fight, and hope beyond hope that his ****ing light show will make folks forget his **** promotional effort/fight card.
