I don't think it's so crazy to think Miranda can beat any of these guys. Not one person thought he could KO Eastman before he did. He has destroyed almost every person that has been put in front of him. With a little more training and improvement in his defense I think he could hang with anyone. Until he does I know there will be a lot of doubters, but you can see how easy people start jumping on the band wagon as he keeps stepping it up with great victories.

I think there is a case to be made for both men in both fights.

I scored the first for Taylor and the second for Hopkins but both fights could have gone either way in my mind-most had it the opposite with Nard winning the first and Taylor winning the second.

People will argue Hopkins was past his prime which he was but not nearly as much as most would like you to believe...with that said Jermain Taylor showed what would happen if Bernard Hopkins is matched up with a top notch middleweight fighter...what will happen...a u pickem fight almost every time out!

Cant help but think what a lot of other GOOD middle's of the past 20 years would have done against Hopkins...some would have lost and some would have one but I promise you that they all would have been right arond the U pickem area in terms of a decision.

      It Soprano Time baby!

I gotta go with taylor on this one. He beat the Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the world twice!

who has Winky fought with any kind of Name? Sure he beat Tito, but that was easy pickings for him.

Well...he beat Shane Mosley at 154 and Soliman in addition to Tito at 160. The idea is that he can comfortably make weight....and nobody really questions his ability to fight at middleweight having established his career at junior middle.

but run that is all he has beaten at 160- he's a great boxer no doubt, but he needs this win to solidify it

I see this as a matter of perception.

Taylor recieved two gift decisions over Hopkins....and that's his only real claim to fame at middleweight. Beating a Raul Marquez who was fighting when he was in kindergarten.....a washed up mismatched, outgunned Joppy doesn't count IMO.

Edourd, Marquez and Buneama were grossly undersized and had no business in the ring with Taylor...the last middleweight champ got a lot of credit for beating up on little guys I hope this champ has a bit bigger aspirations...(Bozo the bait is right there-oh and no yawning)

BTW-Miranda clearly beat a shot and ruined fighter in Howard Eastman...Hopkins destroyed Eastman with his relentless punishing attack-Im surprised they even allow Eastman to still fight-you dont just recover and go on fighting after being demolished like he was against the greatest middleweight of all time...fight must have been in Kentucky or some **** where they have a real reputable commision.

scap, i hardly call hopkins i'll dance around the first few rounds to frustrate you and bait you in/ its round 5-6 and here comes the challenger so i'll pot shot him/ its round 12 and its time to dance again approach relentless. maybe in his early fights but not the last few

agree marquez is a fossill and joppy is small -but either does winky's wins at 154 vs a slower sugar shane who should've laid off the weights, a "close" match w/ sam "i punch but don't hurt" soliman, or tito "i eat jabs" trinidad

Keep in mind Soliman is a tough matchup for anyone. He's too damn akward for someone to look good against.

your def right, soliman is unusual. i am not taking anythin away from winky either, hey he fights with a game plan, has great d, and gets the job done. what i dislike most about taylor really is that he was just to damn hesitant aganist hopkins. i still think taylor is better esablished at 160 so far but any questions will hopefully be answered when they fight. i respedct your opinion run, you are a good poster.
