Comments Thread For: Viloria To Return on July 18th Donaire Card in Macao

Respected manager Gary Gittlesohn had been working feverishly to get a fight for former two-division titlist Brian Viloria to kick of his 2015, who is in line for another championship opportunity. It looks he has finally nailed something down.

Gittlesohn told BoxingScene.com,"We've been looking forward to getting Brian back on the horse and it looks like he's going to be - and it's confirmed (with Bob Arum) - on the July 18th Macao card. As of yet, we don't have an opponent but we're going to be getting one shortly."

Its nice to see Viloria rumbles again, but Boxing Promoters should entertain the idea in promoting a fight in the Dubai, UAE!

ALA Promotions already did, in fact they are staging their second show there for later on this year.

Anyway... Viloria is a great little fighter but I think his best days are behind him now. What shocks me is how he hasn't fought any notable or worthy opponents since his loss to Estrada, yet he's being lined up to face the lineal/WBC champion of the division, how?

Viloria would hold his own the first 4 rounds and land some massive counter rights on Roman but will, like always, fade in the mid to late rounds and get walked down or possibly stopped before the final bell.

Viloria better steer clear out of Roman Gonzalez way unless he wants to be put out of his misery.
