If you're on a roll and your name is hot, and you decide to parlay that into avoiding the best your division has to offer in favor of an unskilled fighter who poses no risk just for the money, you deserve no respect.

It's fine to ask for a money fight, after all this is prizefighting. But when you are turned down, don't vacate all your belts and run away from all credible challenges. That's all I ask for as a fan. It's not much.
    Sounds like Ward/Bute

Ward was also desperate for the Chavez Jr fight. Froch was never "turned down" by Chavez either.

Ward is the one who has booked a fight with Smith. He never wanted to fight Froch either.

    You're standards are very shifty.

Smith us USELESS, the guy got iced in 2 round by Groves and in 9 by Degale and he has beaten NOBODY. This is a cheap easy KO win for Ward, Abraham is shot to pieces, tune up for Ward, he stops Smith in 6.

He only belongs in the ring with Ward as a tune-up. Ward will use and abuse him in the ring to shake off some ring rust.

Mehhh, he is being brought in so, Ward can brush off some rust. It is not as if Smith is supposed to pose a serious challenge anyways. People giving him **** over it need to realize that.

After this he may face the loser of Steiglitz-Abraham 4.........twice.

Why do you keep mentioning Yusuf Mack?

He's like the only guy Froch wasn't forced to fight i.e. glen johnson or being a certified top 4-5 opponent for the last 8 years.

Hardly a blemish of any kind.

Ward will have another tune-up now. Then he'll take another 18 months off and have another tune-up and you'll be talking the same then.
