  • Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Tells Kimmel Underdog Role Motivates Him

Before breaking into a rendition of the song Manny Pacquiao wrote recently as entrance music for his May 2 fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Jimmy Kimmel asked Pacquiao if he is worried because Mayweather has never lost a professional fight.

“No, I’m not worried at all,” Pacquiao told the late-night talk show host during a taping that aired Wednesday night. “It’s good for me because it gives more motivation, encouragement, focus to win the fight. It’s been a while that I’m an underdog in a fight, so … it was last in 2008.”

Who's the public underdog and who is the true boxing underdog? Who really has the pressure? I think Mayweather would've been concerned more about Canelo and Cotto more than Pacquiao. I see why it's just another fight to him. Manny could never beat Maidana and Floyd beat him twice.

You should be barred for eternity from ever commenting on the sport of boxing on grounds of epic ******edness of biblical proportions.

i just heard on HBO that all of the betting money is coming in on pacquiao. the house is going to freaking clean up. mayweather on points.

expect manny to try and predominantly box, look older than floyd, and lose.

pacquiao always dominants when he is underdog. TRUTH!

against sasakul he was a big underdog and he completely KO'ed cold sasakul.

against ledwaba he was a big underdog and he bloodied and stopped ledwaba.

against barrera he was a big underdog and battered and beat up barrera.

against de la hoya pac was a big underdog and he made him quit on his stool.

and on may 2nd pac will embarrass floyd and make him quit!

People just have no idea how being an underdog motivates him. It's almost the reason he fights.
