You're looking at it the wrong way, Ruslan can get the rematch as it was a close fight the final result was pretty conclusive and Lucas did win (Scored it 8-4 first time and 7-5 being generous on 2nd watch). The reason we don't want a rematch or trilogy is besides money, they won't get much out of it and I don't want Ruslan to get brain damage and struggle in later life. He is a nice guy and his promoter disgusts me requesting a trilogy. No regard for his fighters health whatsoever.

      a rematch for what?

there isn't any big money in the fight.
there isn't any titles on the line

Oscar is looking too get lucas the biggest fight possible and ruslan aint it.

a rematch would just shorten both fighters career even more and they wont even make a million dollars doing it.

ruslan needs the rematch because he has no where left too go.

      lucas has options

As for Pacquiao... Well, Pacquiao eats guys like Matthysse for breakfast :-)
He usually does but I'm not convinced the punch resistance is there, he still hasn't fought a puncher since Marquez. Matthysse would be the first genuine puncher to test his chin since then.
