Comments Thread For: Bradley's Trainer Explains Why Floyd Mayweather Wins

Joel Diaz, trainer for former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley, is very familiar with Manny Pacquiao.

Bradley went 24 rounds with Pacquiao. He won a controversial twelve round split decision in 2012 and was thoroughly beaten in their 2014 rematch by unanimous decision.

Diaz says there are certain habits that Pacquiao has, that almost never change, and those habits allowed Juan Manuel Marquez to score a brutal knockout win over the Filipino star in late 2012.

The respected trainer says Pacquiao usually feints before throwing the right jab, usually lifts his foot before throwing his hard left.

If people actually watched Pac-Bradley 2 they would see how much trouble a winging puncher like Bradley gave Pac. At this point Mayweather is still the sharpest, most accurate puncher Pacquiao has faced. The reduced volume Floyd throws will be offset by the accuracy of his punches

Reads to me like he didn't make a pick?

He picked Provonikov over Matthysse last week, even the top trainers in this sport don't have a clue what's going to happen.

I have been saying this from the beginning that Pacquiao has to have his fighter come to him and he has trouble working his way in.

Pacquiao is going to be Pacquiao no matter what. If Roach or him could change anything they would have during the Marquez fights. Marquez changed his fight game but Manny didn't and couldn't. He is not capable of adjusting on the fly and if he can't out think Mayweather he won't beat him.

That's a load of horse crap. Can't adjust on the fly? GTFO with your propaganda.

While Manny may not be the slick defensive wizard that Mayweather is, Manny does make adjustments on the fly. They are offensive adjustments. He modifies his attacks as the fight progresses. You even see him do this during the same round.

Of course, only people who actually know the nuances of of the sport of boxing could understand something so simple.
