i was watching the mosley pac fight last night , and i noticed how many times mosley would hold pac !!!!!! and not once did bayless deduct a point from mosley !!!!!!!! but you floyd fans want to act like we are paranoid !!!!!!!!

How many refs consistently deduct points for holding? Name them. Fighters don't get punished for holding anymore, they should but don't. This isn't a Kenny Bayless thing.

to be fair the ref should have been a mexican to keep it neutral... cant have a black ref because he might favor floyd and cant have a white ref because he might favor pac base on his hate for floyd.

I don't see the ref as an issue in this fight. Only cause, there is almost zero holding in pac fights. Floyd is not that big of a holder either. Ref should have zero impact on the fight.

Agree with De La Hoya. Wouldve rather had smoger...he lets fighters, fight!

Then they would be complaining that Smoger was the reason Manny lost because he let Floyd fight dirty inside while he was pounding Manny with hooks, uppercuts, and dirty tactics.

I don't remember a ref deducting points for holding. Klit bros. and Andre Ward have made a career of hugging people.

At that point I would say it's up to the fighter/corner to work the referee and tell him that it's against the rules to let this dude to keep hugging you.

I've rewatched some Bayless fights. I watched him vs Mosley and found that people are overblowing the inside fighting deal. He says that he differentiates a soft clinch, and a hard clinch which I saw was generally true in how he was reffing. A soft clinch he lets them work out of, and it was true in the Mosley fight. When they were close to hugging, but not quite tied up he let them fight. A hard clinch is when the guy is in tight to his opponents body and has a arm fully snared on some part of the guys body.

In Maidana 2 Floyd initiated a bunch of hard clinches and he immediately breaks it up. But honestly I was surprised that he wasn't deducted a point. That was excessive from Floyd IMO. But again like you said who out there punishes excessive clinching? If he holds a lot to the point that it's throwing off your gameplan your corner has to protect you.
