They catch the ones who don't have the money to keep it under wraps, why did it take so long for them to reveal that he failed?
it didnt take that long apparently, the NSAC must have know about it for weeks. its them who are supposed to release the results. not USADA. USADA's job is to inform the parties involved, but the fight was over by the time he got popped so it is what it is. probably used them to make weight on the final day.

I'm going to email NSAC, what would you like me to say?
if you've ever read my posts regarding this topic in the past, you know i feel that anything that IS NOT natural food/water that a regular person consumes in every day life, would be classified as a performance enhancer. while there's a list of stuff that is ok to use, how often are the guys failing for banned substances winning these fights? is it that big of a deal? if anything, a lot of these substances are harming the fighter.
if you need a little extra boost to make weight, is that helping you? NO. you're gonna be drained on fight night.
who cares. let these guys abuse their bodies for the money they're making. if you cant comfortably make the weight you fight at, you deserve to lose. if you're fighting at that weight to have an advantage and need to drug yourself to lose more weight than you're physically capable of, you lost the fight before you even stepped in the ring. if you do hard drugs in real life as a regular person, you minimize your chance for a successful life. that's how it is.
in my years of watching the science, most of the guys who fail are the guys who lost. is it cheating?? yeah..it's cheating yourself.
how does he lose a part of his purse though? he is cut the check that night after the fight. Does he have a bill waiting for him when he fights again?
It says in the article he'll have to forfeit part of his purse, so I don't know how that would take place.
