What a ****** thing to say. First of all, your scoring is off. Second of all, if he could do it why didn't he do it first time? In fact, Peterson will know he needs to be more active and beat Danny up for more of the fight instead of the second half - that's a more plausible argument. Garcia hit air an awful lot and didn't know how to cut off the ring. He didn't adapt at all. People need to face up to the fact that Danny is an extremely limited fighter who has had difficult fights against Peterson (in terms of scoring a close fight yes, but in terms of who actually did the better work definitely a Peterson fight, which is to say Peterson won his rounds much bigger), Herrera (robbery), Holt and even an 8 year past prime Morales gave him trouble for **** sake. Garcia's power is a myth too, the only good person he's stopped in Khan, who has a **** chin.Comment

Peterson is still traumatized from his KO loss to Matthysse. So much that his main obejective in the Garcia fight, was to NOT ever get hit period. Even if it meant staying 9 feet away from Garcia for the first 6-7 rounds of the fight. Being heroic in the last few rounds, which were NOT shutout rounds for Peterson if you watch the fight without the Rocky music on in the background.

In a round that Danny won, the 9th round... You have Marv Albert and Sugar Ray getting excited because Lamont is "turning south paw! turning south paw!" as if that alone meant anything. "Walking his man down" after Lamont got clocked 3 times by Danny, Ray Leonard's comment, " he is walking his man down...look at the concentration on Peterson's face!" LMAO.
Turn the volume down for this one and score the actual punches that landed. Not air jabs... NOT the bodyshots picked off by Danny' elbow @ 19 seconds left in the 9th round, where Marv Albert screams, "Lamont Peterson with a HARD shot to the body!!" followed by Ray Leonard's "Turning southpaw! turning southpaw!" As if Lamont did ANYTHING other than "turn southpaw..." Shyt is pure gold.
Round 10 was a JOKE. NOTHING for the first 2 minutes but running from Lamont.... Marv and Leonard are working HARD to sell this sleepy round as some brilliant display.
Note the crisp right hand landed for Danny with 31 seconds left in the 10th round, met with SILENCE from the "announcers..." Followed by a solid right and left to Lamonts jaw seconds later @ 28sec. remaining in the 10th, which could not be denied. Most effective punches of that entire marathon round. "Crowd not appreciating the antics of Lamont" Garcia won the 10th...
11th round was ALL Peterson.
12th round I gave to Peterson
The final round was competitive with curious commentating. @1:24sec left in 12th, Garcia landed a left hook to Peterson's jaw and Marv Albert screams, "right hand for Peterson!" followed but another left hook to Peterson's jaw again @ 1:16 that was not even acknowledged.... "it's been ALL Peterson in the final round!" ~Marv Albert...
Turn that volume down and score the fight...This Nubian fetish NBA announcer is all about that makunga. Hilarious.
Again, turn Marv and Ray Leonard down and score the fight. Danny took the 1-7, 9,10 and I am just getting into rounds 11-12.

the only thing Lamont did better was ACT like he was winning. Ali Shuffle, failed Bolo punch in which he got punched in the face... Come on kids. Analyze. Show me the PUNCHES that won the round, NOT the poses or facial expressions of a guy acting like he is doing something in the round. Don't get caught up in NBA announcers who jock black athletes on the regular. "Jordan with the 3 pointer!!!!"

In fairness to Danny, this was Danny's first marathon. I am sure they will work on getting Danny to cut off the ring after this fight. That said, in this sport, the fighter who is trying to press the action, in a round with little action, will typically get the round. Only in fanboy USA do kids think running and not being offensive, is "schooling."
Lamont, too much movement, not enough offense.
