Speed and power aside, Pacquiao's foot work and stamina will dictate this fight, or at least makes it a very competitive one. Floyd has never faced anyone with Pacquiao's stamina and foot speed. Floyd, or Ellerbe, mentioned recently that Floyd is going to set the tempo from the outset. I don't think that will happen simply because Pacquiao is not a stationary target unlike most of Floyd's opponents. The only way Floyd can dictate the pace is if Pacquiao stands in front of him and eat Floyd's jabs. So it's going to be difficult for Pacquiao to catch Floyd as it's for Floyd to catch Pacquiao, although it might be somewhat easier for Floyd mainly because Pacquiao will be the aggressor. But being the aggressor doesn't mean Pacquiao will plow straight ahead like a Maidana, Guerrero, Ortiz, Hatton or some of the more stationary fighter who tried to use brute force. Pacquiao usually moves in and out and side to side so I'm not too concerned with Pacquiao being the aggressor which Floyd seems to interpret as "reckless"--Floyd will learn the difference on fight night. Floyd has really quick reflexes so Pacquiao's movement will force Floyd to react rather than to think and Pacquiao will then be able to catch him.

I agree that Floyd is a smart fighter but the thing is you can't let him think, not even for a second. People always talk about not letting Floyd think but who actually can do it, no one so far. The closest is the Maidana types where they try to corner Floyd and throw a barrage of punches. The problem with that is once the barrage is over it's back to Floyd pop shotting again and picking his opponents apart because they expended so much energy that they become stationary again. Pacquiao throws a barrage of punches but he moves much more after he throws.

I know Pacquiao will have superb stamina come May 2nd. Pacquiao will need to move, move, and move to put pressure and discombobulate Floyd.
Great unbiased analysis. I think Pacs best chance to win, is to fight like the old relentless pac but being a little more cautious. he needs to go all out the first few rounds where floyd usually starts off slow. He needs to put constant presure moving side to side, come from different angles, throw his Combos , but has to make sure hands are up when he's moving out. Because he tends to drop his guard after throwing combos. I think it's really important he sets the pace early, and wins the first few rounds. If pac wins the early rounds, I feel that Floyd will try to be the aggressor, which is not his typical game. Pac is great at feinting, aND I think it will throw floyd off his rhythm. For sure floyd will eventually figure pac out and time him, but the only question is, how fast can he?

I swear Khan is talking to an imaginary Person. He keeps talking like he's on that Nexd Level lmao and he clearly is not on that Level, he's not even a champion in the 147lb division.

Beating Devon Alexander and fighting Chris Algieri isn't getting Khan any closer to legitally being recognized on the level of May/Pac. Khan needs to fight a style that has proven to give him problems, a puncher, and a good one, not a bum.

Beat One Time Thurman, a legit 147 pounder and a real puncher with boxing ability, then you can talk about fighting the Super Duper stars on that Next Level. Or fight and beat your UK rival in Brook and snatch his WBC Belt.

Khan isn't interested in doing things legit he thinks he can charm and deceive his way into a big fight, imo its not even about the win for Khan, I just think he wants the Fame that goes along with fighting Mayweather or Pacquiao win , lose , or draw.

Then he could start dictating who he wants to fight, and then Khan will sit back and wait for the perfect time to fight guys he already knows will make him look good, and continue running his damn mouth like he actually makes any sense, the guy is COMPLETELY delusional and out of touch with reality.

Khan: NOBODY IN AMERICA is buying into your BS, your a phony pony baloney and I think you have career in Politics, not Boxing.

P.S.- I noticed Keith "One-Time" Thurman has been calling Khan out and dissing his ***** butt on Social media, and Khan hasn't said a peep, its been complete silence, yea your coward Khan.

Yep, I agree, and I think that Garcia and Thurman are both tarred with the same brush.

All of those guys had time to become relevant.

They all wasted fights, even though they all know that Mayweather has been threatening to retire in 2015 since before he signed with Shotime.

Khan especially, but that applies to Garcia/Thurman as well.

None of those guys deserve the fight, thats for sure.

Think about the fights that fans have demanded.

Fights that were discussed every day for months/years.

Do Thurman / Garcia / Khan fit into that bracket ?

Not one of those guys deserve it, because not one of them has made any type of move at 147.

They all hung around, fighting subpar comp..... hoping to become relevant by being the last man standing, and not by forcing the issue.

They all hoped to become a Mayweather opponent by default, which really irks me. Fakk them all really.

I am not interested in a rematch with Cotto either.

Mayweather / Lara is realistically the most challenging matchup for him, failing that I dont care, he is just about out the door anyways.

First.....Khan hasn't beaten a top rated full WW with power and he just punked out vs Brook, which would have been a GREAT chunk of change and given him the qualification he needs..........

Time for Garcia to move up to 147 and put this china-chinned chump back in his place..........

Get lost Amir........nobody wants to watch you push down on the back of someone's neck Klit style.......he's lost his sack. Manny or Floyd would KHTFO

Shame on him for staight ducking Brook. That fight could have sealed the deal.....unless of course Brook beat him, which I have a feeling he would and that's why that fight isn't happening.

All the whining about 'waiting' for undeserved paydays and he walks from that one......HYPOCRITE!
