Comments Thread For: Khan, Arum Have Interest in Making Pacquiao Clash

Win or lose on May 2nd, British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) is very interested in facing former Wild Card stable mate Manny Pacquiao in the fall. The Filipino star will first collide with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a mega-fight event in less than two weeks at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Khan, who also returns next month against Chris Algieri at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, used to train side by side with Pacquiao for several years when both fighters were trained by Freddie Roach. Khan left Roach for Virgil Hunter in 2012.

In before the "he doesn't deserve it wah wah wah" crowd.

Khan is more than qualified to fight Pacquiao. All you have to do is look at for instance Margarito who was coming off a loss and a 10 round tune up and got the Pac fight. Why not Khan?

Arum already turned this fight down over Haymon last year and really, what's the point in it anyway? Pacquiao knocks Khan out.

How many fancied Hatton getting flattened out like that? You just never know. Khan always does exceptionally well against south paws and now none of them were as close to being good as Pac, but he has sparred with him as well (extensively). That surely helps.

I still cant believe the fight is almost here! But Arum needs to realize that Manny needs to focus on the guy in front of him.
