Margo had like a grain of salt size amount of what MIGHT have been used to make plaster. That being said, Margarito vs Ruslan with or without the steroids that all of Roach's fighters use would be a mismatch. Margarito walked through Kermit Cintron's murderous punches without the slightest hint of being affected. Cintron's punches are much more damaging than Mathysse's, mostly because he's so much bigger but also because the dude could really, really hurt you. Lastly, Margarito's cardio was also almost super human. Those 2 things would be too much for Ruslan in a very exciting fight.

At his best Margarito was very good and I personally don't think he ever fought anybody with loaded gloves including Cotto. I have heard zero evidence that he ever did this. He got in trouble for suspect hand wraps before the Mosley fight but he was never accused of anything before that. I believe in innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. I have never seen a bit of proof that he ever fought with loaded gloves. Margarito was a huge welterweight while Provo is a natural 140 pounder. It would be a real war as both men always attack and both punch hard with both hands and have great chins. It would go the full distance barring cuts and the bigger Margarito would probably win. Margarito was smarter and more versatile.

Not only that but Ruslan is not really volume puncher, yeah he is pressuring constantly but not constantly throwing, he would play right into Marg's hands.

I also want to point out since a thread I made got deleted which exposed this plaster myth due to truth being ducked that there was no evidence at all none that he had plaster wraps, there were some elements used in the making of plaster but not the ingredients used to make plaster themselves. You would have to be an idiot to think he could have used them without smashing his hands to bits and leaving shards of crumbled plaster all over the place.

I don't think people know how big Tony was... Provo is what 5'5"? Margarito is 5'10". If you have two guys who slug it out only, the bigger guy will win every time, the only way to counter that is with boxing ability. If you're the smaller guy you can **** but you'll have to box to not be KO'd.

Provo is much smaller (like 20 pounds smaller on fight night) and has ZERO boxing ability. Margarito would ruin him, with or without wraps the size is insurmountable.
