He probably could but what's the motivation at this stage of his career? Stevenson isn't really that big of a fight to move up for. If anything, he should be looking down at Golovkin which could potentially be a huge fight soon.

Um,,, lineal heavyweight championship.... That's worth moving up for, plus it will be a huge payday..

I see what you are saying, but I like Froch fighting at 168 and I like Stevenson at 175. Unless they can meet at a catch weight where it's fair I have no problem with this fight taking place, who ever pays more the U.K.or Canada is where this fight should take place , I like both fighters I gotta go with the Cobra by decision.

I would think Froch would want this fight since he's constantly comparing himself to Calzaghe and saying he's better. Calzaghe won the lineal 175 crown by "beating" Hopkins so this would be Froch's way of matching that and would have by far the better resume.

I have Froch winning this by UD. Stevenson is a small light heavy, Froch is a big super middle. I think Frochs output, accuracy, awkwardness and speed would bother steveson.
