Mathysse is as over rated as Herrera is under rated IMO. I'd fight Matthysse before Herrera if I was Crawford and TR.

Agree with you with the herrera underrated but u would rather go to war with Mathysse and have black piss? Mathysse isnt that fast or great of a boxer but he knows how to land. He's been in there with fast slick fighters before i strongly disagree with you

I can respect that you disagree. I frankly wasn't that impressed with Matthysse even though the fight was great. This fight and the Danny and Zab fights show his power isn't as awesome as people suggest and that he can be out boxed.

I don't think he is anywhere near the boxer Crawford is. As long as Crawford can take his punch, he can beat Matthysse by a comfortable margin IMO.

Herrera isn't as known and hasn't been seen as much as Matthysse, but I think at this point he has more at his disposal to deal with a boxer like Crawford.

Once his contract with Top Rank is up he needs to jump ship or he will end up like Bradley with no one to fight. Right now, he's OK because the players at 140 with Garcia moving up are:

Matthysse
Provodnikov
Algieri
Postol
Vargas
Herrera
Benviedez

All of those are makeable fights. The only one he can't fight is Broner but I have no idea what Haymon is doign with AB right now.

wont happen. Crawford will have to sign a significant extension to get a Manny fight. If he even looks like he will leave Bob will stall him like he did Chavez Jr.

Besides, I think if he stays with TR, the future potential fights with Broner and Thurman might be even bigger.

I think Crawford should go after Vargas next. I wouldn't **** with Matthysee yet. Vargas is an in-house fight, and it will sell. I would love to see Crawford vs. Amir Imam, but i'm sure Imam will be seeking Broner before he would seek Crawford, and i'm sure Haymon is not trying to **** with Crawford either.
