CARSON, Calif. – Radio Rahim and other members of the press caught up with Andrzej “The Polish Prince” Fonfara (27-3, 16 KOs), who spoiled the ring return of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-2-1, 32 KOs) in resounding fashion Saturday night, flooring the former middleweight champion one time en route to a one-sided ninth-round TKO in the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING live on SHOWTIME.

Fonfara, of Chicago by way of Radon, Poland, dropped Chavez, of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, with a wide left hook 50 seconds into the ninth round before a boisterous crowd of 8,636 predominately-Chavez fans at StubHub Center. It was the first time in 52 professional fights that Chavez had hit the canvas from a punch.

    Cong****

Can't hate on Fonfara, The guy is respectful, humble and a great warrior.

Good win for him, Al Haymon's got 2 really good Light Heavys in Fonfara and Adonis(waiting for 1 of YOU Racist White dudes to start talking **** about Adonis, go ahead u know u want to). I think Fonfara or Adonis have a good chance at beating Kathy Duva's bread winner in Kovalev.......

But that's exactly why those fights won't be happening anytime soon imo.

As for Chavez Jr?, Hmm His Father was right, Fonfara was too tough of an opponent...the weight, the layoff, and Fonfara is a skillful and good fighter. Chavez Jr imo has a bright future, he's not gonna quit and I suspect he's only gonna get better.

I really like the sincerity and humility of Fonfara, Cong****.

That Fonfara had enjoyed a measure of success in his fight with Stevenson had to have helped Andrzej throughout his training for Chavez Jr. as well as during the fight itself. And now I (as well as many others) really want to see the rematch between Fonfara vs Stevenson.

Lets hope Provodnikov is not ****** racist & anti-semic as Mr. withdraw Kovalev is.
It's a shame for this sport, because Kovalev was surfing over a surreal wave of admiration, since Stevenson signed a better deal with Showtime. But in fact, Kovalev signed his deal with HBO (AFTER) Stevenson went to Showtime, I didn't say before, I said Kovalev signed AFTER.
And now that Haymon manage to open more options for all boxers, Kovalev re-signed another contract with HBO (AFTER) his victory over Jean Pascal, which clearly show how team Kovalev were bluffing all along about Stevenson. Kovalev is now playing the Jean Pascal game, by attempting to convince his fans that Stevenson doesn't want to fight him even when he mocks Stevenson, when in facts, he & Kathy Duva are the ones running together in the opposite direction.

I wonder what John David Jackson think about this fraud.
