Turks are not Arabs in any way. They don't speak the language and they aren't from Arabia/Arabian Peninsula and they aren't related to the ancient "Arab" ethnicity (although to be fair -- very few modern "Arabs" are either).

But it's all quite a moot point. Any two cultures who have encountered each other ever have fought and killed each other and attempted to oppress each other. That "the standards are this way because such and such happened" argument will go in circles forever.

I think it's simply a matter of this:

Some groups are doing well and have the luxury of considering it unmanly to show extreme sensitivity and ignore racial slurs or laugh at them.

Other groups aren't doing so well and desperately embrace the victim role, emphasizing even slight racial humor as evidence of large scale sabotage.

I don't think modern Greece has seen an increase in ethnocentrism because Greeks are still reeling from the Turkish invasions. I think their economy collapsed and they don't feel good about themselves so they've become hostile to all outsiders and eager to portray themselves as victims of sabotage.

Same with black American culture, just more extreme because the genetic differences between themselves and other Americans are way more extreme than those between Greeks and Turks/***s/other Mediterranean rivals.

You've an option to believe Stevenson is a very hairy boxer, like a gorilla.
Implying a world of gorillas wearing boxing gloves as depicted in the photo.

Or ugly as a gorilla

Or black as gorilla.

Or the finger might just be a 1 to indicate: number 1 fighter, where the caption 'Adonis looks great' really just means he is as beautiful as a #1 gorilla.

Picture says a lot to me.

I chose to post the white boy scenario because it made the most sense to me. Might be a distorted view differing from the major consensus, but I thought I'd share some feedback.

lol That's fair, I guess. I just don't like people pretending that Kovalev probably isn't at least a little racist when it objectively looks like he is. It doesn't mean he's a **** or anything extreme. He can get along with whoever, but he's definitely looking a little Archie Bunker kinda racist.
