No matter where the fight was penciled in, Lucas Matthysse versus Ruslan Provodnikov has the making of a special fight. On paper it is the most action packed fight of the weekend and has many industry insiders pegging it as the can’t miss fight of the year. Banner Promotions Artie Pelullo says this is what boxing should be about
“Everybody knows in the fight business that this is the fight of the year,” Pelullo told BoxingScene.com “It’s going to be a tremendous fight, Ruslan and Lucas aren’t going to back up. Both guys made weight like they were supposed to and fighting each other in their prime like they are supposed to be doing, it should be a great night.”
