  • Comments Thread For: David Price-Mariusz Wach To Collide on June 6th?

Promoter Mariusz Kolodziej of Global Boxing, who handles Mariusz Wach (30-1, 16 KOs), has been approached about the possibility of matching his man against Olympic bronze medalist David Price (19-2, 16 KOs) on a date of June 6th.

Wach and his promoter are interested in the fight. It's an interesting matchup of two very tall heavyweights. Price has won four fights in a row since losing back to back bouts to Tony Thompson in 2013. Wach lost a twelve round decision to unified heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko in 2012. He returned last year after a near two-year layoff and has already racked up three wins. [Click Here To Read More]

Good match for Price, if it comes off, in the sense that it's the sort of test that will show whether or not he has recovered psychologically from the double disaster against Thompson. Wach may well have the best chin in the division so Price's suspect stamina would be on trial in a fight where he'd almost certainly have to go the full trip to win, and although the Pole is as slow as a statue he's tough and determined and still has ambitions of his own. David Price might simply be too fragile for the pro game - the top end anyway - but he needs to find out if he has any future in the game and Wach would go a fair way towards providing an answer.

Can't see Price taking this one. Either ends in a Price decision or Wach KO and can't see price protecting that chin for up to 10 rounds

Great match up. Both are giants with power, Price has some speed but Wach has an iron chin. I´m guessing Price takes the first half easily, then gasses out and Wach KOs him into retirement. Still, KOing Wach would be a real statement for Price (considering the beating Wach took from Wlad) so I think it´s worth the risk. Please make it happen.

Can't wait for the odds on this win.

I really don't think Price can beat Wach.

Its a better fight for Price. Wach will be lined up & there to be hit.
Chisora would have put the frighteners into Price with his pressure style.
Chisora & Wach are both capable of stopping Price.
Price will get more credit beating & if he can stop Wach than if got the same result over Del
