DERRY MATHEWS was once written off as a no-hoper - tonight he fights for the interim WBA world lightweight title.

He meets stand-in opponent Tony Luis at the Echo Arena in Liverpool in a contest which proves that persistence really does pay-off.

cause of his style and volume, mathews fades after 6 rounds, if watch the second crolla fight, theyre gameplan was pretty much to concede the first 6 rounds and they did and got a draw, also tommy coyles style was beating mathews till it looked like he got purposly chinned.
