Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Denies UK Trip, Says Change is Coming

WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux has denied the information contained in a recent press release which stated he would be traveling over to the UK to confront 'regular' WBA champion Scott Quigg. He denied making any of the statements that were contained in the press release.

Rigondeaux says his contract with manager Gary Hyde is set expire in September. The Olympic two-time gold medal winner is looking forward to what he believes to be a new dawn in his career, but is not revealing any information regarding what changes are going to take place. Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO) seems to be looking to sit out until contract with Hyde expires.

Have you all noticed how long he has been sidelined from the mainstream? Because of people like me. I won, and so did the fans who let it be clear we will not tolerate running cowards in this sport. All the years of switching channels during his fights or flat out skipping his cards, it paid off. We won. Haha, I got the last laugh, I got him out of boxing. So happy to see him struggling, he is boring as ****.

Al Haymon must come and save this man. He'd be the best fighter on his roster sans Floyd. This man is too damn good to get as little exposure as he has.
