"Limit" is the key word. Look it up.

Limit and true are essentially mutually exclusive. Meaning they don't go together in the manner u intend.

Limit in my mind means that a middle end fight is limited to 160 pounds. So by definition a fight can happen at 155-160.

Cotto is probably the only "true" middle weight. He will walk into the the at about 160. Geale and especially ggg walk into the ring at about 175.

So tell me point you are trying to make.

Of course it's not an issue. He got another title shot shortly after GGG destroyed him. He was in no position to ask for anything. I'm pretty sure he would've agreed to 156.

cotto was the champion against pac that's why the champion gets the calls not the opponent arum screwed cotto in the pac fight with the catch weight geale has no problem with the catch weight neither did Martinez who never comes in at 160 anyway so stop crying cotto never fought at 145 before pac get it now

              Geale's a hard-working pro, I don't think he'll have an issue making weight.

Still though, 157 is a pound too much for my liking, 158 would've been better.

To be fair to Pacquiao, using Cotto's recent logic. Pac was the clear A-side. Remember how Cotto was the A-side for the Martinez fight while Martinez was the champion?

You want to fight the best fighter out there you agree to his terms it's simple. Just like every Cotto apologist is saying about Geale. Cotto could've easily declined the cw.

                  Cotto vs Clottey: 146lbs
                  Cotto vs Pacquaio: 145lbs

Nuff said...i'm sick and tired of this narrative that Cotto was crippled by a single pound. It's nonsense. He took his loss like a man til people started this nonsense excuse and he ran with it. You could go take a proper shhh right now in the bathroom and come out a pound lighter. Had he fought him at 140 I can understand but 12ounces? C'mon. He took the fight, sure wasn't an issue when they placed that contract in front of him, he didn't have to accept it, he was the champion. If it was that much trouble for him to lose 12 ounces he wouldn't have signed it. Funny thing is weight isn't an issue when you are confident you can kick someone's @ss but when it doesn't happen the weight then becomes the reason why.

No Cotto never fought at 145 before Pac but he did fight at 140 before Pac. So I don't know what ridiculous point you're trying to make there. Unless of course you're looking for a way to ridicule Pac for the catch weight but defend your fighter for doing the same thing.

                    Hypocrisy. Look it up.

Geale should have no problem making 157.
