Maidana hardly put any weight on Floyd at all in the rematch. Any time he got close Floyd initiated a clinch which Bayless quickly broke. The rest of the time Floyd moved.
I can't help thinking Floyd is going to clinch a lot against Pacquiao too. Floyd can't sit in the pocket with Manny, no welterweight can without getting lit up. His gameplan has to rest on distance control and forcing Pacquiao to lunge and overreach.
But I don't think Floyd can move that much for 12 rounds any more. And Pacquiao's own countering ability is going to be dangerous all night long. I think Floyd will look to clinch Pac a lot in the centre of the ring. His night is going to be about setting up lead right hands, landing them, and immediately clinching before Pac can return fire.
It'll make for an ugly fight but I don't think Floyd has the gas tank to do it any other way.Comment

What? Margarita from 10 years ago? Not the 1 that fought PAC! Guerrero wins by decision and Canelo TKO's him!!! I hate to say this because PAC is a beast, but after studying his fight with Bradley and Marquez this is starting to look like easy work!! I could be wrong thoughComment

I think y'all taking to much from the Maidana fight, and under estimating Floyd skills! Sounds like y'all banking on him being old and washed up like most of PAC opponents, but this will be a big surprise to many come MAY 2Maidana hardly put any weight on Floyd at all in the rematch. I don't see Floyd clinching much. Pacquiao can't handle boxers with movement.Maidana hardly put any weight on Floyd at all in the rematch. Any time he got close Floyd initiated a clinch which Bayless quickly broke. The rest of the time Floyd moved.

Mayweather nor Manny legs the same
Mayweather is 38 and Manny is 36 and has inflammation problem with his legs which inflammation weakens your legs and that's a fact. So Mayweather is older and Pac has inflammation issues so I don't see either with an advantage as Roach tries to claim.Comment

Boxers with movement can't score against Pac without sticking and taking risks. He doesn't cut the ring off well so it's not hard to stay away from him. But if you do that you won't be active enough to convince the judges you took the round.
There isn't a no-risk approach to fighting Pacquiao. And if Floyd does commit to staying on the outside and scoring with lead rights, he will probably have to move constantly for 12 rounds.
The only point being made here is that there are question marks over both guys' ability to work for that long at this stage of their careers.Comment

its obvious that shane is biased against manny , seeing how manny knocked him down and and coulve knocked him out if he didnt run all night like a coward pansy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets face the facts , shane said mannys punch was the hardest punch he ever felt in his career !!!!! and shane fightede some of the biggest punchers the game has ever sawed !!!!!! like vernon forest , winky wright , margarito , cotto , and for him to say mannys punch was the hardest speaks volumes !!!!!!!!!!!!!! mosley is still but hurt that manny destroyed his career a basically sent him into retirement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

I wouldn't be so worried about Floyd's legs when one camp is cutting out whole weeks of sparring, significantly reduced their planned roadwork, has to stop mid workout to massage his legs, and buying miracle cream out of desperation. Floyd's legs aren't my concern at this point.Comment
