when manny is retired, will future pinoy boxers be held to unfair comparisons to him?

every time a pinoy boxer comes out of the woodwork whether proven (donaire, viloria) or not (gesta) they get compared to pacquiao or people mistakenly call them the "nexy manny pacquiao" way too early.

why is this? and do you think its fair that these young guys will have to be subjected to being compared to an ATG at such early stages in their careers?

It happens all the time across all sports..

    The next Michael Jordan
    The next tiger woods
    Etc

Every mexican boxer always gets compared to chavez, so I'm sure all the pinoys will be compared to manny.. Every young Rican star will have his stardom compared to Trinidad. This is nothing new

They already did. They tried comparing Donaire to Pacquiao, and tried moving him up all these divisions the way Pacquiao did. They found out quickly that Donaire, as great as he is in his own right, was no Manny Pacquiao.

I remember when people on this site were saying Mercito Gesta was the truth. They were even saying that bum could move up and beat Marquez. So, yeah, people will compare them to manny. Some fanboys will even go full ******
