If Pac wins that defines and adds to his legacy right there.

    Beating undefeated TBE.

    If Floyd wins, no legacy.

he just beat an easy, reckless, one dimensional, make a lot of mistakes, 5 losses opponent.

Pac will lose this fight by KO or TKO. Watch and learn why Floyd is levels above anyone Pac has ever fought.

Of course not, May and Pac are over the hill nowadays, especially Pac.

5 or 6 years ago this would have been a legacy fight.

fans are fickle minded so we must rely on institutions that much more respected than those experts on boxingscene.

            pacquiao:
3 bwaa fighter of the year
3 ring magazine fighter of the year
            4 lineal division title

            mayweather:
2 bwaa fighter of the year
2 ring magazine fighter of the year
            4 lineal division title.

if bwaa and ring would chose the best fighter of this era, they would probably base their decision on the list above. bwaa and ring fighter of the year is equivalent to mvp's.

the winner of floyd manny fight would probably get the bwaa/ ring fighter of the year 2015.
if floyd won- then floyd would equal manny's bwaa/ ring fighter of the year award. but they will still have the equal number of lineal division title. this will make them even.

if manny won- manny would have 4 bwaa, 4 ring fighter of the year and his 5th division lineal title. i think it would be hard for anyone not to regard manny as a fighter of this era considering this accomplishment.

            another stats to consider:
floyd has beaten more world champions
            manny has 8 division title
manny has a fighter of the decade recognition.

See my sig, ring voted Floyd higher than Manny.

Agreed that the winner goes to new heights.

that list is nearly top 20 best american boxers. but nvm hold on to that list till the hype died down.

that list was made 2014. they cant even give floyd fighter of the year that year.

Money aside- the risk/reward of this fight is not in Floyd's favor.

They both want to think it won't define them, but depending how it plays out they really can't know.

If Pacquiao were to somehow manage to KO Floyd... then yeah. That would probably end up being his defining moment.

If Floyd were to KO Manny- it's kind of the same thing.

If anything spectacular happens (fingers crossed) it could obviously be legacy defining. Neither of these guys want to think too hard about that though, this is literally the most pressure possible on an individual in any professional sport.

This is bigger than the big stage, neither of these guys will honestly be able to feel like it's business as usual no matter what they say.
