And technically, should have lost when Roger choked Zab.

No. Floyd will always be 1st ballot HOF'er. Losing will not change that. It's like No Mas, that's what duran is most remembered for but it didn't change his legacy.

difference between changing legacy and defining it. Floyd won't be viewed as the #1 fighter of this generation, Pac will. Basically Floyd losing will affect his legacy more than any loss suffered by any top 50 boxer, ever imo.

I agree - Judah was successful for 1st 4-5 rds, and the scorecards should've been closer( cant see how 1 had it 119-109), but no way does anyone view that as a fight Floyd should've lost bc of that mele

How special would it be to see a 3 fight series between these two that defines both of their legacies?

would've been great in fight # 1 was in '09 or '10, # 2 in '22 or '12, and number 3 now. if they have a 3 fight series now, Floyd will be over 40 by conclusion

OK, that's fair. I wasn't thinking in those terms but I see your point.

True, but with Castillo and Maidana 1st fights you usually just get the crazy Manny fan posters like Kuyukut and his ilk, spoon23, pac boy, etc. that act like he lost just to have something to argue.

                    Is what it is.

A loss would affect both of them. When you get as far as both of them, being second best to a person you lost to would be a hard pill to swallow.
