Can somebody explain the rules to me. What happens if GGG is the mandatory challenger to the 160 pound title and he refuses a catch weight request? Can he force a fight via purse bid at the full weight ?

the fight would never go to purse bid. If a deal couldnt be reached for GGG to dry out to 154.1, wear 16oz gloves, and agree to throw no more than 10 punches per round (all jabs), Cotto would just vacate........

Also the catchweights for JMM and Algieri helped them more than hurt them, Algieri fought at 140 the fight before and Pac gave him a 4 pound privilege basically it benefit him more since he never fought at 147 before and it was a middle ground and not to mention Algieri is much bigger than Pac.

The catchweight for Margarito helped him as well, Pacquiao heard Margarito was having trouble to make 147, which was the fight supposed to be at so instead he gave Margo a 150 catchweight, it was supposed to be a non title until WBC sanctioned it for a vacant title, and did this for money purposes.
