Comments Thread For: WBC: Chavez-Fonfara To Have Special Belt at Stake

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. returns to the ring to fight Andrzej Fonfara, from Poland, on April 18th in Carson, California, for the vacant WBC International light heavyweight belt, which will include a special design.

For this match the World Boxing Council created a special edition belt, with a similar look to the world title, adding the word INTERNATIONAL to it.

Chavez will be back to Carsonīs StubHub Center- the same arena where he fought Bryan Vera for the first time in 2013. This will be a whole new destiny, as he's now part of Al Haymon's team, signing a contract with Showtime and becoming the new Televisa Deportes star.
