Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Pacquiao Was Very Reckless With Marquez

Floyd Mayweather says it will be two hall-of-famers in their prime when he and Manny Pacquiao clash in the richest fight in boxing history on May 2 at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas.

Mayweather said on Tuesday he was not worried about spoiling his perfect 47-0 record.

"He's a future hall-of-famer. I am a future hall-of-famer and we are meeting at the pinnacle of our careers.

"From the match-up, it is going to be a very exciting fight.

"Our styles are totally different. I fight with smarts. Every move is calculated; every move is thought about."

Pacquiao is fucking crazy, you'd think that would have convinced him but he kept on pressing.

he wanted to ko marquez. took the risk of finishing him off and walked in a shot.

kind of a ****ty way to lose but hey, that's what happens when you fight someone several times. props to pacquiao for giving marquez several shots despite him already winning the previous fights.

A lot of people egg Pacquiao with that KO, and rightfully so. That **** was vicious! But that fight right there has totally made Manny a far more dangerous fighter because it has given him far better timing and judgement and he also emphasize a bit more technicality in the ring.

I don't believe he lost his KO power. He's just been far too cautious evidently in those Rios and Bradley fight. But Manny's old habits does come back from time to time. He was hit with several clean straight right by Algieri, luckily Chris punches like a girl otherwise it would've been another KO in his career

              1st fight was a draw
2nd fight, manny won by 1 point
              3rd fight, marquez got robbed

The reason why there were FOUR fights was because Manny couldn't beat Marquez.

4th fight was the charm and we have a clear winner.

Unlike Mayweather,Marquez wasn't afraid to get hit if he could land a big punch.
Mayweather's reluctance to engage will prevent any KO by him.Why people talk about him and KO,I'll never know.Cuz it ain't happening. This is the biggest fight of his career,so why will he revert from nature and go looking for a knockout and leave himself open? Pacquaio needs to bum rush him and get him out of his comfort zone which is throwing more than potshots.
