Don King Productions executive Bob Goodman has responded to allegations made by the camp of IBF cruiserweight champion Kelvin Davis. "The truth is that Kelvin Davis already signed a fight contract for the Bell fight back in November and received a $25,000.00 advance, which he cashed. He had just signed a promotional agreement for three years with us when we put him in for the vacant IBF Championship with Ezra Sellers which he won on May 1, 2004 on Showtime with us. His bankruptcy attorney then sent us a letter, telling us that he rejects our contracts. His other attorney Thomas Hale then called and said Kelvin really wants to fight, so we agreed to put it on, but told him we would have to send new Agreements, since the other ones, which were signed were rejected. Case closed -- period -- end of case. He has new Agreements, not only for the Bell fight, but for the winner of unification between Wayne Braithwaite (WBC) and Jean-Marc Mormeck (WBA). He returned none of our Agreements signed and since he's rejected the ones he's received, we guess he does not want to fight."
