Maidana would give Manny a tough fight. These guys are seriously underestimating just how crafty and how strong Chino can actually be.

I like Maidana and watched several fights. First person, I thought of when you guys were hyping up Broner to give him a loss (search it). Maidana does not have the tools to win a fight vs Manny and those jumping on it like he would must not watch boxing. Yes, it would be good as blows would land and we would watch how great Manny actually is. There is no way in hell Maidana beats Pac unless he is approaching 40 and still fighting.

If Manny can't handle the rough housing tactics, he will be in for a long night. If Pac is able to be elusive and keeps turning him, it will be an easy fight.

While I agree Maidana will give Pac plenty of trouble, I wouldn't want to see Maidana shedding his trunks and gloves for a live raping on PPV in front of 3,000 people.

Styles make fights. Maidana is way too willing to open up to not get hurt against Manny. He comes in straight lines, and throws looping shots. Manny's never had a problem with come forward plodders that open up.

Hell, a lot of people here are saying Rios/Maidana is a 50/50. Even Rios didn't wanna open up against Manny, and that's Brandon Rios. Maidana won't come charging like a bull against Manny. His arsenal will be cut in half, because he knows the fire power coming back is too lethal.

A maidana that has too much respect for you is a beaten down, and embarrassed Maidana.

What fire power lol? Pac has good power at WW, but you act like he's been stopping his opponents cold at WW. He hasn't for the most part and that's recently fighting JWW's and smallish WW's like Bradley and Marquez. Now Maidana would be afraid and can't survive the power coming in at 168 or so against a fighter coming in at 148ish?

I think Pacman beats him too unless Maidana can somehow become way faster, but Pacman's power is not all that anymore. He's a good solid puncher at WW, but that's it.


The Rios fight was fresh off Manny being KOed. He didn't really have an opportunity to open up, because his feet are too slow, he's not strong enough to bully Manny, and Manny did not exchange and even give him an opportunity. Manny darted in and out in him all night and boxed his ears off!

And Rios v Maidana 50/50?

Rios is the one that somehow always get's favorable style matchups between the two fighters so every single one of fights is somehow always a "war". IJS
