Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Breaks Down Mayweather vs. Pacquiao

Multi-division champion Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire sat down with BoxingScene.com to break down the upcoming Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao super fight. The fight will take place on May 2nd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight is 5 years in the making and many feel the fight would have been better in 2009 or 2010 when both fighters were at the apex of their careers. Donaire, who was born in the Philippines, feels that is one factor that makes the fight hard to predict.

I find it funny when people say an orthodox fighter posses something left handers fear, the straight right!

They act like it's something so uncommon. There isn't too many punches in boxing when you break it down. A hook, uppercut, and straight. Sure you can mix in a jab, some variants to how you throw the text book punch, but in the end, there isn't too much to choose from, lol.

Forget who has the better straight left or right, it's whoever poses their will that will win this.

The tone tells us Donaire is riding with Mayweather. He doesn't want to come out and say it, because he fears the backlash from the Pinoy community.

True but this fight is about more tban will. Its about skill too. Pac man got timed and tagged by jm repeatedly his defense is his offense. He has trouble with fighters with lateral movement and he gets confused by boxers. If pac had a real trainer insted of talk too much roach he might be far ahead of the game.
