Who's the ONE fighter you dubbed the "Sure Thing" but didnt live up to hype????

    I'll start first...

My sure thing was Vernon Forrest.
After the Shane Mosley fight, I was ready to appoint him to one of the top spots in the pound 4 pound rankings.

I was "sure" that he could beat damn near everyone. Didn't happen. A wild-swinging, smoking Nicaraguan changed all that.

Who's the fighter that you were sure was going to do some real damage in the boxing game but didn't quite pan out???

    ANSWER NOW! I'm interested.

Jo-el Scott. Heavyweight who looked like a monster a couple of years ago. Got busted when he was 17-0 (17 ko's) and did 4 years. Came out and got knocked out. Last I heard he was doing 45 years or something like that. What a waste.

I always knew Judah was sort of a headcase after getting knocked down by Clottey but after Zoo I knew that Judah never would be what people thought he would be.

A fighter that comes to mind is Donald Curry...had definite p4p #1 skills but ran into a durable, tough guy and really had no answers.

he's serving two life sentences for raping and murdering a bag lady while high on crack his first bid was for sex with a minor,my pick at one time for a sure thing was Derrick Jefferson, but he got in the game too late

                    Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy...

He still has potential, but I thought there was NO WAY Calzaghe could beat him..
