Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Will Travel To The UK To Call Out Quigg

CORK, Ireland - Unified super bantamweight world champion Guillermo "The Jackal" Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KOs), arguably the most avoided reigning world title holder in modern boxing history, will travel to London next month in order to publicly confront his mandatory challenger, Scott Quigg (30-0-2, 22 KOs), the World Boxing Association (WBA) "regular" 122-pound division titlist.

A month ago in an unusual move, Rigondeaux' manager Gary Hyde formally petitioned the WBA to enforce a mandatory title fight between his WBA Super champion and Quigg. Hyde is awaiting the WBA's decision. Rigondeaux is also the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and The Ring magazine's super bantamweight champion.

Good fight if it happens. Just my 2 cents but I think Rigo schools Quigg and I'm not sure about him vs Framption.

ring god doe got skills, a pleasure to watch, hope he goes to do damage the other fighter, which he usually does. lands good flush shots.

As long as Rigondeaux refuses to even try to speak English, heading to the UK, for a fight card that Quigg likely won't even be fighting on, and having his translator speak for him is a waste of time.

You add that no one in the audience is even likely to know who he is, and the move reeks of desperation.

I'm sure they'll remember him from the Willie Casey destruction job.

Rigo beats Quigg with his lead hand alone. Frampton is good enough for Rigo to take seriously though.

yep Quigg will get battered but I give Frampton a chance he is the best of the 3 rigo wants and I think Frampton has the balls to take it but Mcguigan is ****ting bricks at the thought of rigo beating up his meal ticket

I'd pay good money to watch Rigo fight here too, not very often you get to see someone so skilled live so might as well take advantage of it, I don't think it will happen though - unfortunately.

I can see people waiting for Rigo to get old and slip until they fight him, such a shame really.
