Former multi-division champion Nonito Donaire returned to the ring last month with a 2nd round stoppage of William Prado in the Philippines. The win was Donaire's first ring appearance since his October knockout loss to Nicholas Walters.
The 32-year-old Donaire said he was happy to fight in his native Philippines and that he was pleased with his overall performance. He wants to increase the quality of his opposition in his next fight.
"It was good. We had a lot of people show up to watch. We did the game plan this time and executed it. We just have to rise up the opposition. I felt good at the weight," said Donaire.
