Call me when someone in or around 154 beats him that's not named Mayweather. I'll be waiting by the phone. I might be grey by then.

Hundreds of other fighters fight a pound or two over the class weight limit in non title fights. It's not against any rules and there is nothing wrong with it. Hell, Kirkland fought at a catchweight of 156 in his last fight. Clearly large junior middleweights like Kirkland and Canelo have to sruggle to make 154 and they won't do it unless it's for a title. This does no one harm and breaks no rules. When Canelo was the 154 pound champion he always weighed 154 or less when he defended his title didn't he. If he fights for the 154 pound title again he will make 154 again. If he can't make weight he will move up to 160. If you don't think he deserves to be ranked as the top 154 pounder then don't rank him there. All the ranking places will still have him right behind Mayweather at 154 and rightfully so. What you should be asking is why Mayweather is number one at 154 when he hasn't fought at that weight in well over a year and as no plans to ever fight at that weight again.
I could ask the same about Mayweathee, youre right. Theyve both fought outside 154 for over a year. But Mayweather earnt his title in the ring within 154 pounds., Canelos ranking isnt earnt in the ring at the weightclass hes supposed to fight

Lol come on don't be ****ing boxing novices guys. Any non-title fight at any weight class you can still be considered at that weight class if you are one pound over. It's allowed. A junior-middleweight fight can be sanctioned and still be considered a junior-middle weight/super-welterweight fight at 155. Which is what canelo has been fighting at.
Let me guess, you guys are some of the same people that say Broner missed weight in his last fight too, right?
Yea thought so. Educate yourselves instead of down-talking fighters who aren't being non-professional.
Kid is only 24 years old and has Cuello, Gomez, Cintron, Mosley, Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara, now he's about to add Kirkland on his record and he's only lost to one time that was to mayweather.
Let's not forget miguel vasquez twice.Last edited by lolpz; 04-13-2015, 01:12 PM.
