Comments Thread For: Garcia: Close Rounds Will Be Scored For Mayweather

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with elite trainer Robert Garcia. The Oxnard, Calif. based trainer's stable of fighters includes his brother Mikey Garcia, Brandon Rios, Marcos Maidana, and many others.

In recent years Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach and others have questioned whether the Filipino still has the killer instinct he had earlier in his career when he jumped from lightweight to junior middleweight and demolished opponents such as Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, and Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao is now very religious and his motivation has been questioned in recent fights.

Yes Robert, we agree... It is really all up to Mayweather on how he wants to be remembered for this fight.

This is why it will be important for Pac to be very active from the opening bell. Floyd is a very slow starter and usually adapts by the 4th-5th round. If Pac can sweep some of the early rounds and fight strong down the stretch which he usually does, it will be very interesting.

Las Vegas is heading for a surprise mark my word and put this in your mind Pac will beat Floyd. Cash your $$$ for the Pacman and expect a good return.

In their first fight Chino kept it close with May and after 8 rounds I felt the fight was up for grabs. I feel like Pac can have just as much success and if it's close after 7-8 rounds there's no telling what happens. Floyd is still the favorite until proven otherwise tho.

I have mentioned this long ago and posted it before.

I observed that it was not just the judges, but some NSB analyst and poster tend to do the same, when they said the round is so close it could go either way, I was surprise judges, NSB boxing analyst and floyd fans always give that round in question to Floyd.

if there are 6 close rounds that could go either way Floyd would get 5 and his opponent would get 1.

or they will give more close rounds to Floyd opponent if they already know that Floyd got 6 or 7 of the 12 round fight.

                  example

if most of them (murican judges, NSB boxing analyst, and Floyd fans) are already sure that Floyd won 6 rounds clearly, and the remaining 6 rounds are close that could go either way, they would just give one or two of those close round to Floyd and the rest goes to his opponent.

But if both of the fighters (Floyd and his opponents) have clearly won 5 rounds each, those two close rounds that could go either way will both surely goes to Floyd

I even saw one post that said, the round was so close it could go either way but i gave that round to Floyd because he clearly won it. WHAAAAAAT?

He doesn't adapt the other fighter begins to tire after trying to throw knockout punches at Mayweather. He fights the same shoulder roll, lead right, shoulder roll right upper cut., duck under a punch move to the right and throw a right hand. elbow to the face than short quick right hand, gets hit holds than complains to the ref that he got hit low or behind the head same movie since going to welter or since Castillo
