Where did the myth that Maidana is weak to the body start from?

Broner hurt him in the late rounds to the body, Mayweather had him gasping for air, in fact one of those body shots is what prompted Maidana to throw a knee. Alexander, Soto Karass...two other fights he didn't respond well to the body.

If I would have listened to most posters on here, I would have bet big money on Maidana being KO'd in his last 8 or so fights from a shot to the body.

A very long time ago some people use to say something similar about Pacquiao. Nobody likes it to the body, but some fighters react worse than others, it doesn't mean any good body shot is going to put them down.

It's funny listening to people predict his fights. How many times have people predicted body shot ko.

what round did broner do that? i've watched it numerous times, the only times he stopped maidana in his tracks is with the illegal punch after the bell and a nice right hand to the head in the 12th when maidana was still recovering.

I'm guessing after Khan floored him hard with that two-piece to the body...

He barely beat the count, too.

Also, it looked like Alexander was hurting him and stunning him too - when he was working the body. But Allexander frustrated the hell out of Maidana - fightng on the inside, and then clinching, or boxing and moving on the outside staying out of range.

                    Lol?

Mayweather doesn't like it to the the chin, you saw him do the booty Dew vs Maidana, the stanky leg against Mosley x2, and the Soulja boy "suparman crank that" against demarcus corley.

Every time they touch him on top, he doesnt like it to the chin.

Maidana can be hurt, he is human ha, but he has great recovery. He is one tough bastard. Very hard to stop as proven by him never being stopped. The way some of you fools talk on here if you only have to touch him to the body and its game over. In fact Maidana does some of his best work after getting hurt.

I think Maidana getting up from the body shot, and then going on to give Khan hell is a testament to his toughness, it shouldn't only be used in a negative light. I thought it was incredible.
