Yup and Cotto would be a hard target to hit for Lee if they fight up close since Lee has those big arms and would strugle to generate power up close and punching down to a smaller man.

Why would Lee look for a GGG fight insted of Cotto? Cotto brings more money.

Ok but how much more money does cotto bring? Probably not as much as you think. The cotto-Martinez ppv flopped big time. Would a GGG-Martinez ppv have done much worse? No, in my opinion. Plus, GGG's side is easier to negotiate with than cotto's. Geale got 600K to fight GGG + the ppv money from Australia. That's a nice purse right there for only a couple rounds of work...more than lee made last night against quillin. But this doesn't really matter because I think lee has to fight billy joe next.

Cotto is on a different level to Lee as a boxer. But Lee's power would be enough for Cotto to decline the fight.

I said Australian ppv, not in the US. And yes, I'm making some assumptions but I believe that Lee could make a mil or close to it in a fight against GGG. He has a belt and can use that as leverage because GGG is intent on unifying the division. Cotto has shown that he doesn't care about unifying.

And I do believe that GGG-Martinez would have not done much worse than cotto-martinez did in regards to ppv buys. Like it or not GGG has a huge buzz about him that has been going on for a while now and cotto doesn't.
