The face of women’s boxing in the United States could lie with Heather “The Heat” Hardy. Making her PBC debut, Hardy wanted to show out and for the first two rounds, she did just that. Pressuring and attacking her Hungarian opponent, Renata Domsodi, It looked like she was well on her way. An accidental head-butt in the third round that lead to a no contest stoppage change that. Hardy understandably was not happy with the outcome.
“It’s very disappointing, the past two months of sacrificing, selling tickets, not planning trips for my daughter,” Hardy told BoxingScene.com. “Everything all rolls into these 8 rounds and when it doesn’t work out to a tee, it gets disappointing.”
