  • The problem I see with most Pac fans is that they create an unrealistic view of what Pacquiao can do in their minds,
    That Pac can dart in and out and strafe Floyd with punches like he did with De La Hoya;
    That he wont over expose himself and get countered like he did with Marquez;
    That his training camp will go ultra smooth and cramps won't be an issue;
    That Freddie Roach will conjure up some "master game plan" that will work;
    That Floyd will just succumb to Pacquiao's relentless pressure

    Problem is, this fight will take place in the real world.

    • [QUBBB demo=ADP02;15559946]Manny showed against Bradley and others that he is a warrior. You come at him, he will come back at you even harder. Zab crumbles and that was Floyd's game plan.

      Hatton had a style that was made fOn BBBor 140. He could not do that at 147. It was too tiring for him to do that for 12 rounds against bigger fighters. Hatton never looked good at 147.[/QUOTE]
      IMO if they fought at 140 money would've stopped him sooner

      He was at his epitome.... He battered everyone he fought there. He was just as slick as today but was more aggressive, more combos, power and hurt everyone he fought

      Just eye test wise and timing... 25-27 year old Floyd slaughters hatton....people forget no one called him out until he beat odlh...he was 30 by then n slowing down n the cash cow... He called out everyone back in the day in 98-05 from hamed to odlh...126-147

      There's an interview with merchant after he beat somebody n merchant dismissed anyone wanting to fight him after that performance including hamed at a catch weight of 128

        start at 55:25
        Ricky struggled at WW. He said himself that he has to grow into WW. He also says that Collozo isnt like a Floyd mayweather yet he struggled with him.
        He had two fights a LWW after his first WW bout with Collozo ( that he looked bad in). Floyd saw this and not only did he outweigh Ricky at WW he made him move up with no chance to do it healthy. Like he did with JMM.

        Bro what is it you don't get

        Mayweather started at a Lower weight than hatton

        Collazo was a career welter and Mayweather was only 4 fights in over 140....he had most his fights @ 135 n lower at the time....hatton was bigger was career 140 n up
        ...Floyd was better...
        Hatton got ktfo by Mayweather....fighters aren't the same after punishement of 42 previous fights and a ko loss...Mayweather took his prime IMO that's why he wasn't impressive after

        People always underestimate Floyd's physical strength...IMO @ 140 Floyd beats him faster in 2005

            What would you say are Pacquiao's top 5 wins?

              I can answer that, easy. Marquez, Barrera, Morales, who are all Mexican Legends. Cotto, who was a weight class bigger than Manny. He wasn't supposed to win that fight. Oscar, although a corpse. It was Oscar who called him out. Again, he wasn't supposed to win. The Clottey win was HUGE, it was without a catch weight. Nobody wanted to fight him and he came into the ring over 170lbs. Cheeto, was another not so sure win because of his HUGE size advantage. Bradley was a primed opponent. Before he even took over Floyd's division, he was a HOF'mer. His run at Welterweight, made him a bonafide ATG and Legend. Floyd's resume doesn't have these type of challenges or competition. Manny is a fighter's fighter and Floyd is a prize fighter.

                Pretty much. He's superman, he's invincible and can fight any style the best! The only way he can lose is by being cheated. Just look at the excuses upon excuses they already have stacked up

                    1. Barrera
                    2. Morales
                    3. Marquez
                    4. Hatton
                    5. Bradley

                    If a miracle happens on May 2, that list will look like

                    1. Mayweather
                    2. Barrera
                    3. Morales
                    4. Marquez
                    5. Hatton

                    That is one of the most impressive top 5 wins lists in boxing history.
