Comments Thread For: Hearn: Brook-Gavin Winner Will Face Brandon Rios

Former champion Brandon Rios (33-2, 24KOs) is close to securing another world title shot.

According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, the winner of Kell Brook vs. Frankie Gavin will face Rios in the fall. Hearn, who promotes both British fighters, is presently negotiating with Rios' promoter Top Rank and says a deal is very close to being reached.

Gavin (22-1, 13KOs) challenges Brook (34-0, 23KOs) for his IBF welterweight title on May 30th at the O2 Arena in London.

Rios was last in action in January, when he demolished Mike Alvarado for a third round TKO in their trilogy meeting.

that's pathetic. Cab driver Dan, Gavin and Rios back to back. Brook needs to take a break from fighting these killas.

Jojo Dan --> Gavin --> Rios, just one of them is mandatory. And they have the nerve to criticize other people opponent choice.

You just know khantards will come here and talk **** even though their guy is fighting Algeri

Not to mention none of these fights would had place had Khan had some balls and agreed to fight someone who actually has a chance to beat him. That someone obviously is Kell Brook.

                  **** khan, it's his fault.

Hern said Chaves was willing to travel, they also had Lopez, Sadam Ali, Antonin Decairie and a few others up for May

                    Yet they still chose Gavin
