    Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr: Golovkin Not Taking Risks, Go Up To 168

    Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (48-1-1, 32 KOs) has closed his training camp and now counts the day until April 18th, when he faces Polish light heavyweight Andrzej Fonfara (26-3, 15 KOs) at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

    Last year, Chavez Jr. was close to a deal where he would have faced Gennady "GGG" Golovkin at the super middleweight limit of 168. The fight didn't happen because Chavez claims his former promoter, Top Rank, had a clause in the bout agreement which bound him to their company for a few more fights.

      Chavez is the absolute last person to ask this of Golovkin, since Golovkin signed to go up to 168 and fight him. Guess who walked away from that?

      I don't blame Chavez since Arum was pulling some tricks, but don't talk **** when he would have already fought at 168 if not for you specifically.

          No need to defend GGG against a guy who ducked him once and makes silly challenges on twitter. Chavez Jr. is a clown and fighters who take a year off have no right to criticize any fighter who fights 4 times a year against fighters who actually have the balls to sigh the contract.

              Why would or should he? He's having a fun time atm and should go ahead and unify the division.

                  Chavez walked away from their fight, you're an idiot if you think what his ***** ass says has any merit.

                    GGG took Monroe 'cause everyone ducks him. Although, if Chávez wants 3G to move up, then Chavez need to move up to fight Kovalev so he kick his Mexican ass ***55357;***56394;
