Seldom do I use the word "coward" to describe fighters who 'quit' but occasionally it's warranted.

There was a heavyweight (I don't know if he's still fighting) named Tor Hamer. Every time the going got rough, he would pack it in and quit. It wasn't like he had a broken jaw, cut face and broken bones in his arm or hand; it was, he would take some fire from his opponent and then just quit on his stool.
